A Public Policy and Management Subject in the Management Functions Domain

Information and Technology Management

This public management subject examines how advances in information technology are changing the ways that public administrators can obtain, analyze, disseminate and store information. Courses in this subject analyze the opportunities and problems that new information technologies present for public sector managers. These courses may also deal with the economic, political and sociological implications of an increasingly information-rich environment and policy issues such as intellectual freedom and intellectual property rights.
