Compliance Costs

This topic deals with the social costs generated by government intervention in society, including administrative costs and the costs associated with enforcing compliance. It examines government efforts to reduce regulation and "red tape," considering why some such efforts have been more successful than others in terms of improving government performance and reducing the social cost of regulation.
