A Public Policy and Management Subject in the Analysis and Skills Domain

Communication Skills

This public policy and management subject under the Tools and Skills domain deals with developing communication and presentation skills that students will need to be effective policy practitioners. Specific topics include: understanding communication dynamics, dealing with assumptions and differing points of view,  body language, how to interact with an audience, pursuasive writing, and various strategies for getting ideas across to others through verbal and written communication.

 

In the coming months, teaching topic pages will be created for most of the following topics derived from the HKS course, DPI-801: The Arts of Communication.
