A group of political officials that exercises executive power in Canada. The modern Cabinet consists of the Prime Minister and the other Ministers of the Crown, who oversee specific areas of policy.

In addition to exercising executive power on behalf of the Crown, the cabinet also has decisive control over legislative power, especially in situations of majority government.
