PADM-5225: Trade Policy

DescriptionThe objective of this course is to provide an understanding of several topics relevant to international trade policy. These include the welfare consequences of policies affecting trade flows as suggested by economic theory; the multilateral agreements that regulate trade policy; and some of the current issues important to the future of those agreements. Given the impact of international trade upon many areas of public policy, the course will be of use to many students who are preparing for careers in or with government. A working knowledge of economics at the level of PADM 5111 and PADM 5112 is expected.
