A Teaching Topic in Democratic Institutions and Policy Process
This topic discusses the role of municipal governments in Canadian federalism, and examines the ways in which municipal governments interact with provincial and federal governments. Students are asked to consider what should be the role and status of municipal governments in Canada, and how the two senior levels of government should relate to the municipalities?
