Quality of Life (QoL) Indicators

This is an approach to evaluation of governance.

Audit Commission, cited in Bovaird, 2005, p. 225

Quality of life (QoL) indicators have been developed by the Audit Commission in the UK. This is an approach to evaluation of governance, which has now been worked up further, so that every local authority in England could assess against the achievement of five overarching QoL dimensions from 2005 onwards: (i) sustainable communities and transport; (ii) safer and stronger communities; (iii) healthier communities; (iv) (quality of life of) older people; and (v) (quality of life of) children and young people.
