Framing of Information 

The act of shaping the way that others interpret the information that they obtain.

This is an important concept in the study of information sciences because interpretations and framing of events play an important role in how we experience events and process information.

The framing of information can include shaping what information is included and excluded when it is delivered to individuals. These decisions can strongly influence public perception of an issue.

Many individuals and groups attempt to frame information. Some groups that are particularly important in shaping the public’s perception of events are the media, political groups and interest groups.
